Please note that the engine turns over but will not start and this car has spent most of its time in storage. It has a clean Carfax with no reported incidents a clear title and is in Colorado.
Exterior
Exterior is painted in Alpine White with a sunroof and chrome trim and according to seller has a few scuffs and scratches, and the antenna has been broken off. The car retains its original badging and brightwork.
Interior
The interior remains stock and is clean and largely original, showing light wear consistent with age. The dash is intact with age-related cracks, the underside of the driver’s side armrest has a small hole, and there is a minor ding to the leather on the inside of the rear door (both shown in photos). Seller states that upholstery remains in good condition overall.
Mechanicals
This 528e has the 2.7-liter inline six-cylinder engine (M20B27) factory rated 121 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque. It's known for its focus on fuel efficiency and accessible low-end torque. Seller states the engine turns over but will not start, power is present, but it is not receiving fuel. It had a new fuel pump installed in spring 2025.
Seller Comments
The 528e (“eta”) model is celebrated for its smooth, reliable M20B27 inline-six and classic BMW driving dynamics. Finding one with under 70K miles, documented service history, and two-owner provenance is rare. This car is an excellent candidate for light mechanical restoration and would be at home in any enthusiast’s collection or as a weekend cruiser. The sale includes the original keys, manuals, and a full-service history
